Cheerio January

Chimp Does Hamlet

I just wanted to post an update on my e-newsletter plans and my experience using MailChimp.  This is blatantly an excuse to showcase the fabulous image I found on Flickr, above!  You may recall, I blogged about my e-newsletter plans earlier this month: Making Things Easier.

Today I sent out my first e-newsletter, you can view it online here: News From iMake January 2013.

The idea behind the newsletter is for it to be an alternative way for fans of the blog and podcast to keep up-to-date with the activities at iMake HQ.  It’s a monthly summary really.  I am quite pleased with how it’s turned out.  MailChimp has been really easy to use, I recommend it to anyone who wants to send more visual e-newsletters than something like Tiny Letter allows (Tiny Letter is part of MailChimp).

So if you fancy signing up to receive the iMake e-newsletter, please feel free to click the link below.  Thanks so much.

  1. Hope your work has been OK… Personally, I’m hoping for a snow day tomorrow. It probably won’t happen, but I am ever the optimist!!

    • Hee hee – thanks Libby. The newsletter took much longer to write than I expected but should be easier now I have a template. Not sure how it will develop, but I have quite a few subscribers now so it will be interesting to get their feedback :-)

      • I thought it was great. The layout was easy to navigate and it’s amazing to see how productive you’ve been in just one month! Inspirational!

      • Thanks Libby – it’s great to have some feedback as I wasn’t too sure about the format. I was a little shocked at how much there was to write about. I had a little time off over January which helped. I am glad you liked it :-)
