Since You Asked…

Knitters are so nice.  One of my lovely iMake followers has suggested a knitalong for my new knitting patterns, Splendid Striped Cowl and Twiglet Mitts.  This isn’t something that I’d even thought of, mainly because they are very quick knits. However even with a quick knit, it’s nice to be able to chat to others about the pattern and share progress. Also, on this occasion, you’ll; have the designer on hand to help you (that sounds very funny to me when I know I am talking about myself!)

So I have made the existing pattern threads on the iMake Ravelry group “sticky” and re-named them:

Twiglet Mitts (KAL/chat)

Splendid Striped Cowl (KAL/chat)

If you’d like to knit these patterns along with some other lovely knitters, then please use the threads.  Also feel free to share progress photos on the iMake Facebook group or on Twitter using the hashtag #iMakeKAL (same for both projects).

As with all iMake KALs, they are very informal.  There are no rules, no deadlines… join when you like.  Just chat online, share photos and have fun.  Here are the pattern links on Ravelry and there are photos of the finished items at the bottom of this post:

Thank you for being so supportive of my new knitwear design endeavour, lovely blog readers!  I am always taken aback by how nice knitters are.

  1. Look at how popular you are! It must feel very good to know that people are loving your pattern?

  2. I’ve been contemplating some colours of Rowan Cocoon for the Splendid Striped Cowl but it will have to wait for a bit, I’m currently knitting too many things!

    • Totally understand, Tony, you show great restraint! My Christmas Balls book arrived. I LOVE it!!! :-) I’ve ordered yarn…

      • How exciting! Can’t wait to see how your Christmas balls turn out, I’m sure they will be brilliant. I’ve just finished the reindeer for February.

ps: did you know Arne and Carlos have just released a book called Easter Knits!?

      • I am excited too Tony. I just like the fact that they are small and manageable and won’t interfere with larger projects, if you know what I mean. It’s the perfect way to learn a new skill. Easter Knits…! Oooh! You enabler, you!
