Normally I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. But occasionally I suffer the frustration of a sleepless night. I have always known that lavender was good for helping you get to sleep so I thought I’d have a go at making a lavender pillow spray. Who knows it if really works… but it certainly makes my pillow smell beautiful!
You will need
A 50ml travel spray bottle
Just under 50ml bottled/purified water
A few drops of witch-hazel liquid – approximately a teaspoon full (you’ll get this at the chemist, I have seen plenty of recipes without witch-hazel in it, so really it’s optional)
20 – 25 drops of lavender essential oil (or more if you like)
Almost fill the bottle with purified water. Add the witch-hazel then the lavender oil. Put the spray top on the bottle and shake. Spray on your pillow before you go to bed to aid restful sleep. If you like a stronger lavender smell, add more essential oil. Always shake before use.
