Dick Van Dyke Socks: Done

DVD Socks Main

Hooray – another pair of finished sport weight socks as part of the Socks with Sarah KAL. These are a pattern by Wendy Johnson called Van Dyke Socks. I have expanded the name slightly to honour one of my screen heroes (LOVE Diagnosis Murder!) These are my Dick Van Dyke Socks.

The yarn is Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball Stärke 6 in the colourway “Spring is Here”. It was lovely to knit with and I think I probably have enough yarn left for a Basic Beanie too.

Here are a few more shots:

More DVD socks

And here is what my next pair of socks will be made out of (Rowan Fine Art courtesy of LoveKnitting).

  1. Oh these turned out to be just gorgeous! I am sooooo making a pair of socks this year from this yarn. Your pattern selection with this yarn was a marriage made in heaven!!! LOVE your new socks! Can you tell???

Actually, I have you to thank for pointing me in the direction of knitting socks in weights other than sock weight!!! Can you even believe I never realized this was a possibility? Right now I have DK on the needles and a worsted waiting in the wings – more new adventures.
